Rapid Re-Housing
Willis Dady’s Rapid Re-Housing (RRH) program focuses on providing up to 12 months of rental assistance and case management to low-barrier individuals or families who are currently experiencing literal homelessness. The program, which began in 2018, focuses on assisting people to get off the street or out of the shelter and back on the road to stability as quickly as possible. RRH and Willis Dady focus on a Housing First Model that believes stable housing can work as a platform that allows clients to begin working towards personal goals, improve their quality of life, and avoid returning to homelessness. Once a client has successfully identified housing and was able to move in with the assistance provided by the RRH program and the case manager, they can begin to work towards other needs through referrals to different agencies.
Case Management
A case manager initially meets with a client to discuss their housing needs and to set up an individualized housing plan. Once the client has begun to work towards their goal of housing, the case manager provides support throughout the entire process; including: searching for housing, talking to landlords, making referrals and helping connect clients with donations and furniture to make their new housing a home. Once the client has been successfully housed within the program timeline, they can choose to be exited from the program and continue on their own or they can elect to have an optional six months of ongoing case management.
