Mattress Recycling

Our Mattress Recycling program is the only one of its kind within the state of Iowa. We recycle mattresses in Cedar Rapids ​to provide steady employment opportunities to individuals exiting homelessness, while keeping mattresses out of the landfill!

Instructions

  • Location: Willis Dady Works (800 1st Ave NW Cedar Rapids, IA 52405) 

  • Hours of Operation: Monday-Friday 9:00am-2:00pm

  • Fees:

    • $10/mattress processing fee (Linn County residents)

    • $20/box spring processing fee

    • $35/mattress processing fee (non Linn County residents)

    • $3/delivery card processing fee

    • No charge for metal bed frame drop-off

    • Pay with cash, card, or check at drop off

  • Other Notes:

    • Loads with 5 or more mattresses should call ahead to schedule drop off at 319-651-8530​​.

    • Please do not leave mattress outside the building.

    • Due to the nature of the recycling process, we can not accept mattresses that are wet, mildewed/moldy, infested or heavily soiled.​​

Directions for Delivering a Mattress:

  1. Check in at Willis Dady Works (800 1st Ave NW) 

    • #1 on the map​

  2. Ring the doorbell and wait for staff to greet you

  3. Pay fee

  4. Drive around the block to the warehouse entrance

    • #2 on the map​

  5. Unload mattress with staff assistance into the warehouse

    • Please do not leave mattresses outside unattended.​
