Light the Way Home for clients at Willis Dady this summer. We need your help to raise $50,000 for our general fund, which supports all areas of Willis Dady with both literal and metaphorical light.

Additional Ways to Give

Perhaps you, a family member, or a friend has experienced homelessness. Maybe you're a Veteran who wants to provide lasting support for future Veterans. Maybe your heart longs for ending homelessness and supporting those in need. Whatever drives your passion for helping those experiencing homelessness, financially giving is a wonderful way to help ensure we continue to provide our services will into the future.

Employer Matching Does your employer offer donation matching? This can help your donation go even further and create a bigger impact for people experiencing homelessness in our community. Endowment Fund We have two Endowment Funds at the Greater Cedar Rapids Community Foundation: Willis Dady Emergency Shelter Fund & Willis Dady Emergency Shelter Friends Fund. 25% of our operational costs are covered from private donations.

General, operational contributions from individuals, churches, groups, and businesses make up the second largest segment of our annual income. Unless designated otherwise, all donations we receive go towards operations, which includes client needs (e.g. food, hygiene items, cleaning items, etc.), client transportation (bus tickets), building utilities, building maintenance, administrative costs, staff salaries, and other operational expenses.
