Current Campaigns: Dady Dash

Join us on September 19th at the Prairie Park Fishery, for our annual Dady Dash -- a timed 5k walk, 5k run, and 10k run! Registration is $30 which includes a race bib/chip for timing and a free Dady Dash t-shirt. All proceeds benefit the day-to-day operations of Willis Dady Homeless Services.

Additional Ways to Give

Employer Matching Does your employer offer donation matching? This can help your donation go even further and create a bigger impact for people experiencing homelessness in our community. Endowment Fund We have two Endowment Funds at the Greater Cedar Rapids Community Foundation: Willis Dady Emergency Shelter Fund & Willis Dady Emergency Shelter Friends Fund. 25% of our operational costs are covered from private donations.

General, operational contributions from individuals, churches, groups, and businesses make up the second largest segment of our annual income. Unless designated otherwise, all donations we receive go towards operations, which includes client needs (e.g. food, hygiene items, cleaning items, etc.), client transportation (bus tickets), building utilities, building maintenance, administrative costs, staff salaries, and other operational expenses.
