Find the right volunteer for the job.
We believe that volunteering should be mutually beneficial for you and for us. We want you to get the most out of your volunteer experience, and we want to get the most out of your volunteer experience. To that end, we look for volunteers interested in and qualified for our needs. We also talk with potential volunteers about services they'd like to offer and whether those would be helpful at Willis Dady. We talk with every potential volunteer to find the best outcome for both Willis Dady and the volunteer.
First, look through our current and on-going volunteer openings.
Next, fill out an application online (or mail one in). Note any openings that sounded like a good fit. If you didn't see anything but have a skill you'd like to offer, note that instead. You can also fill out an optional skills assessment to help us match you to a volunteer opportunity.
We'll review your application, run a background check, and set up an interview to learn about your skills, interests, availability, and to determine if Willis Dady is the best fit for everyone.
If volunteering at Willis Dady seems the best for everyone, we'll have you complete an online orientation. (You can also complete this ahead of time if you want more information before applying.)
After that you'll meet your supervisor, who will train you on your specific position and be your go-to person while volunteering.
In line with your position and the schedule you work out with your supervisor, you'll start making a difference in the lives of those near or experiencing homelessness!
