FACILITIES & OPERATIONS DIRECTOR

The Facilities and Operations Director will manage all aspects of Willis Dady facility operations, including budget management, property management, facility planning, building system maintenance, and supervision of the maintenance team. The Facilities and Operations Director will also be responsible for providing maintenance and custodial work at the Willis Dady Works Employment Hub. The Facilities and Operations Director will work closely with the Executive Director, the Board of Directors Facilities Committee, maintenance staff, and volunteers to develop and execute a property maintenance plan for all Willis Dady owned properties and land. The position is full time (40 hours per week) with a salary of $50,000 and a competitive benefits package: 75% health premium covered by the agency, dental and vision plans, 3% Simple IRA match, short-term and long-term disability, life insurance, paid time off, personal days, flexible scheduling, and a 30-day paid sabbatical after five years of employment.

ACCOUNTING CLERK

The Accounting Clerk is responsible for a range of essential financial duties within the agency, across all programs and staff. The Accounting Clerk may include bill pay, deposit income, assist with processing payroll, help prepare monthly financial reports on an as needed basis, assist with grant funding monitoring and invoices, and keep all account records accurate and up to date. Initiative, follow-through, organization, and attention to detail are essential to the Accounting Clerk’s success. Minimal travel is a required part of the position and will be reimbursed by Willis Dady. The Accounting Clerk must supply their own vehicle. The position is categorized as a regular part-time employee and requires up to 29 hours of work each week. The position is an hourly rate of $20.00. The position is based in-office at the administrative office in Cedar Rapids, Iowa and requires scheduling flexibility to meet the needs of agency responsibilities.

RESIDENT ASSISTANT (RA)

The Residential Assistant (RA) is responsible for operating the Willis Dady homeless shelter facility and providing homeless services to our clients. This includes assisting clients who are residing in shelter and managing the security, safety, and upkeep of the building and grounds. We are seeking an RA to fill 3 – 6 various shifts throughout the week, for an average of 10-20 hours per week. RAs are expected to occasionally substitute for other RAs and in rare instances provide overnight shelter coverage. The RA position is essential to the successful operation of our shelter, which helps people experiencing homelessness find a path to stability through housing and employment. RAs will work directly with clients, other staff, and volunteers. RAs will start at $16.00 per hour.

SHELTER CASE MANAGER

The Shelter Case Manager is responsible for individual case management services including, but not limited to: assisting in the securing of permanent housing, resource referral, goal setting, advocacy, coordination of services, and networking for up to 35-single men at Willis Dady Emergency Shelter. The Shelter Case Manager also works to support and manage training and education operations; including coordinating with outside professionals and organizations, developing and providing training to all agency staff and clients, and providing classroom-style focus groups for all clients residing at all Willis Dady agency locations. We want someone who can think creatively about big-picture solutions for how to improve learning and resource support in a homeless service setting. Sound judgment, collaborative style, ethical conduct and motivational interviewing or similar techniques are essential to success in this position.

 

The position is part time (29 hours per week) with an hourly rate of $19.23 an hour. This position allows the ability to flex hours when needed, within the same work week. Willis Dady is also a federal student loan forgiveness qualifying agency.
